Identify the root cause of the issue with your ebike or other electric vehicle. If we can't find the problem(s), then we won't charge you any money 🙂

Disassembly, repair, and reassembly of your electric motor. This includes tasks such as hall sensor replacement, motor wire repair, reduction gear service, lubrication (geared motors only), or the addition of Statorade motor cooling fluid (direct drive hubs only).

Remove and replace motor controller with a universal replacement kit. This allows e-bikes and scooters with broken or otherwise non-functional motor controllers to continue to be ridden and supported without help from the manufacturer.

We often come across ebikes (or other EVs) with a bad battery - but the li-ion cells themselves are fine - which means that the Battery Management System (BMS) has failed. In this case, we can replace the BMS and professionally repackage your battery.

We remove your old battery, and then build a brand new battery to the exact same physical dimensions as the old one. We then install the new battery into your existing battery case, and wire it up to your existing charger. Our newly rebuilt batteries have an industry-leading 3 year / 36,000 mile warranty, and offer other advanced features as well, such as bluetooth cell monitoring, active cell balancing, and superior waterproofing.

Sometimes, everything already works fine ... but you just broke the throttle (or the pedal sensor has gone bad). We can help you sort through that mess-of-wires inside the handlebar, and return your ebike or other EV to normal operation. We can also install a Cycle Analyst ebike computer, if needed, for extreme precision.

Adjust all the gears, both brakes, light wheel truing, clean & lube chain, plus a general wipe down and safety check of critical hardware. 

Everything listed above, plus removal of all parts! We then clean them, clean the frame, chase threads if needed, and then reassemble everything. Also includes new cables and housing.

Using our Morizumi spoke cutting and threading machine, we deliver factory-quality spokes at any length. We are uniquely well setup to cut spokes for e-bike hub motors, which often have special requirements, such as super short spokes, tapered ebike spokes, or replacement spokes matched to one that you have in your hand . 

We have offered pro level wheelbuilding services since 2018. We can build any hub into any rim, and with the best possible spoke tension ratio. Our favorite spokes are the Sapim Strong 14/13g tapered spokes, or the Sapim e-Strong 13/12g tapered spokes, which are the strongest spokes in the industry. 

Properly setup and bleed your hydraulic brake system, all while inspecting the lines for damage, kinks, etc. 

We do not advocate tubeless tires for e-bikes. Since we're totally focused on long-distance touring, and extreme reliability, we feel as though you should always be able to repair a flat tire quickly and easily on the side of the road. That is why we developed the World Record Anti-Flat Service, back in 2021, for a friend who went on to set the current Guinness World Record for solar bikes across America - all with ZERO flat tires!

This price includes all parts and labor to convert your existing bike to electric assist. Our 750w Shengyi hub motors are lightweight, exceptionally reliable, and remain our #1 choice for most people's first ebike. Hub motor ebikes are the best choice for city commuting, touring, wet weather riding, or anywhere where reliability is of #1 importance. 

This price includes all parts and labor to convert your existing bike to electric assist using the extremely popular 750w Bafang BBS02 motor system.  Mid drive motors are notably less reliable than hub motors, since all the power goes through the chain. Plan for a derailleur adjustment every 3-6 months, and to regularly replace your rear cassette. Despite these drawbacks, mid drive motors are a good choice for many mountain bikes, since they maintain higher efficiency at lower rpms.

This price includes all parts and labor to convert your existing bike to electric assist. The GMAC hub motor is a game-changing e-bike motor that combines the benefits of a gear reduction with the ability to do regenerative braking. This system has a max power of 750w on road, or 1,500w in offroad mode, and can also do regen up to -750w (or -1500w with dual batteries). 

This price includes all parts and labor to convert your existing bike to electric assist.  The Grin Hub, designed and manufactured by Grin Tech in Vancouver, is the very best hub motor available on the market today. This system has a max power of 750w on road, or 1,500w in offroad mode, and can also do regen up to -750w. With dual batteries, this system has a max power of 1,900w offroad, and a max regen rating of -1,500w.

All the bennies of the previously detailed Grin Hub motor system, but for, um ... shall we say "plus-sized" bicycles of all varieties! Since the Fat Grin motor is capable of up to 60a continuous current, all builds are required to have dual batteries. This system has a max power of 750w on road, or 2,880w offroad, as well as a max regen rating of -1500w. 

We are early pioneers in multi-motor systems, especially for e-trikes. We were the first shop to ever install dual front motors onto a FreeCross elliptical trike in 2021, and were also the first in the world to install dual front Grin motors onto a Stein Trike in 2023. We remain leaders in the multi-motor space, and are happy to make a custom quotation for this service, whether it be for a two wheeled or three wheeled bicycle.

For a reasonable additional fee, we will pickup your e-bike/scooter/other light electric vehicle, and transport it to one of our service centers for diagnostic and repair. This price includes pickup AND dropoff, and is only available if you live within the city limits of one of our service center locations.

Outside of city limits, but inside of North Carolina, we charge a simple flat rate of $2.00/mile for pickup or delivery. Example: a customer at the NC State Zoo, in Asheboro, NC, shipping their ebike to the Greensboro location for repair, would be quoted 2 dollars a mile. Since the zoo is 35.3 miles from the shop in Greensboro, the total shipping cost would be $70.60 plus tax. For delivery once complete, this customer would need to pay an additional $70.60. 

This is especially helpful to people who own trikes, motorcycles, or otherwise hard-to-transport items. Price depends on distance, and whether or not we need to bring a trailer. 

When it is not practical to transport your vehicle to us, but you still need help, then we can arrange a virtual diagnostic. We will spend up to 1 hour working with you to discover the root cause of the issue with your vehicle. In order to complete the virtual diagnostic, you must have a smartphone, email, basic hand tools, and a multimeter. You do not need to have any previous experience with electronics, but you must be willing to learn & follow instructions given over the phone. 

We will package your e-bike for freight shipping and then arrange all the details. We have experience shipping both normal e-bikes in bike boxes, as well as organizing LTL, palletized shipments for larger vehicles such as trikes. We have shipped e-bikes and parts everywhere from upstate New York, to Texas, to the Bay Area, and even internationally (Canada, France, Israel, and South Korea to name a few), and are more than happy to assist you in your logistical challenge.
